Triad Metal Arpeggios To play an arpeggio is to play the notes of a chord individually. This lesson teaches three triad (3 string) arpeggios that are quite commonly found in melodic metal styles. The arpeggios are: Em, D and C. Sweep picking is most commonly used to play arpeggios for efficiency and speed. To sweep pick means to pick in a constant motion across the strings, and in this lesson the motion is Up Up Down Down Down.
