Guitar Types

Do you own a guitar? Are you trying to decide what may be right for you? As a general rule it is easier to learn on an electric guitar than acoustic because the strings are usually thinner (and easier to push down) on electrics.

Electric guitars require an amplifier, and are capable of clean and distorted tones, great for rock and metal playing. Acoustic guitars always sound clean and are great for chords and singing songs.
